Common people. We desperately need atleast THIS campaign to be a success. I mean as a team the IV core CANNOT ask for an amount lesser than $5.00.
We are a member base of 30,000 members, cant we all contribute this once? It is exactly FIVE dollars that we ask of ALL members.
If we cannot get every single silent/dormant member to contribute atleast this once, then maybe we should just pack up our bags and fold, coz if we cant even contribute FIVE DOLLARS for our own betterment, we are in a very sorry state.

With this July VB fiasco, thousands of people with the recent priority dates will be able to apply alongside the applicants with much older priority dates and depending on how the USCIS issues the receipt notices or how fast their lawyers can file, some with older priority dates will fall behind in terms of receiving the receipt dates.
Note: Even a few days' difference in receipt dates could matter due to the quota when thousands apply in the same month
So the question on the table is:
How would USCIS process the cases now that many recent priority date filers were able to beat (sarcasm:thanks to DOS and USCIS!) the older priority date filers in getting the receipt notices?

USCIS has proven again that they cannot calculate or count. Don't you think they should be presented with this calculator to help them calculate.

I got financing using EAD in March 2010, and got refinancing recently still using EAD but not the WFC. There should no criteria or need to have GC only. Talk to agent or other lender and you need one, "DESI company" let me know.

Particularly elimination of LC substitution and elimination of concurrent 140 & 485 are good things to come in the forseeable future.
Also, another Damn thing that INS should do, check the PayStubs and W2 forms for all the people and should check with IRS on that to eliminate the another class of people who are just faking about everything, everything and becoming liable on this GC and creating a freaking mess and becoming example or providing direction to lot many others following their model.
If this stops, yes, our waiting times decrease. I can say one, Our own Indian mentality is causing Quueues in this process

My question was about H4 + 485 pending? Then what is the status? I have earlier given EAD, but they did not accept that. I am submitting 485 receipt with A#. Let me see how it goes.
EAD is not a visa status. It is an employment authorization document. Of course they will not accept it in lieu of H-1B.
What you need to do is show them the receipt of your I-485 application with the A#.
In my case too he asked me if I was on EAD and I said yes. He said that I should then give him a copy of I-485 receipt. However, since I also maintain H-1B visa, I just gave him that.

I am an H1B holder in Indianapolis, IN processing GC on EB3 -actually my EAD (PERM) is 'In Process'; my wife and 3 under age kids are H4s... a couple of months ago we had to update our address in our 2 DL & 5 IDs... of course I am the only holder of a SSN so no problems getting the renewal of my DL & ID. After getting a numident report from the SSA for my daughters and wife... there were no issues generating IDs for the kids... but according to BMV withouth a SSN my wife's DL won't be updated and it will be suspended in 30 days. How she got a license before (for 3 years) and now she can't...? Is there anyway to obtain a DL in Indiana being a legal H4? I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!
