Its not over till its over :), and its not over yet by any means. I am willing to wait and fight ;) . Everyone has priorities in life, each person would view GC situation differently. For me, its not the ultimate dream, but just a vehicle to continue my journey for some more time (with peace of mind). I am definitely looking to gray my hair in my home country or atleast be there once I am grayed haired :D
Doing an MBA/PMI and looking for managerial job is the only realistic possibility for most, I don't think most people would wanna still be programming when they turn 40/45 (depending on how old/young you feel).
My gut feel is that there will be some kind of relief by end of 2007 or early 2008

You can file 485 even without the I-140 receipt number. You need to include a cover letter with your details. Also, include the copy of your labor certification with it. You can get more details here.

I am not sure if it is only me.....but many times I see strangers wishing me or each other morning, evening...."how u doing" ,,,etc....
but Indians (I am also an Indian -:) are a little reserved....I do not see a greeting from fellow Indians that easily.....again I am not saying Indians are bad (cause I too am one -;)
maybe it is a culture thing for us not to greet strangers ?
PS - I have had my share of experience where non-Indians are also sometime rude me to me .....

Simple and yet we have not acted purposefully. I have a strong feeling that this visa grab is still going on. HLG has sent out another immigration alert to all registered emails, similar to one posted on Feb 9, 2007. . And I quote a bit

I know IV is doing its best and there are other groups fighting for HR 5882.
But honestly, what are the chances for this bill to succeed this year (before election)?
100% or 75% or 50% or 25% or 0%
Ron Gotcher predicts that none of the individual bills may pass this year.
And also that EB3 I may not move forward even next year!
I am not sure how many EB3 (I) volunteers are there in IV (who are really focussed). Are they getting nothing? The prediction is that EB3 I may go back to Nov 2001 and stay there for a while (or may be for the rest of next year).
Is the efforts of EB3 (I) volunteers being exploited (indirectly, ofcourse)? What are they fighting for?
If a mountain looks high, you just don't give up if you really want to summit.
Hence, my friend, we all have to try...remember that old saying ...Try and Try .... Till You Succeed.
There is nothing to loose, but if this clicks, everybody is a winner.
EB3-I will benefit (not all) but those who get the GC will move OUT of the line, clearing the way for others.
If you have any other suggestion for things we could do besides sitting idle and doing nothing, you are most welcome to express it.

Well, it's time to break the news.:p I didn't attend the rally because
(1) the first and foremost reason: a recent surgey at my backbone , and I may not be able to walk for more than 15 minutes continuously.
(2) the second and honest opinion: Even If I were doing well, I wouldn't have attended the rally due to the yelling-nature of words from some of the Core leaders, and their pushy messages.
(3) the third and final point: The rally pictures and the rally experience of other members have impressed me very much and have totally changed my mind. So, next time, whereever you organize the rally, I will be there.:p
This is my honest opinion about my abscence. I hope noone will jump on me for my reasoning.

2) I don't think there was any core member yelling, just a bunch of enthusiastic supporters. But I appreciate the feedback and understand the frustration. It takes different things to motivate different people, which is why I am looking for real feedback to improve moving forward. I'm sure you understand, politely asking once or twice many not get through the flurry of daily posts that happen on this board :)

Core chaps and chapesses - I think it would a good idea to overhaul links on the navigation pages to reflect up to date contact members and chapter information.

I work for a fortune 50 company and my company hired fragomen , and they have been exceptional. They provided me with timely updates and answered all my questions. My 485 was submitted last week. I will recomment fragomen.

Thank you H4 for all your efforts. I had +1 today. Got busy doing the easy work of putting those letters into envelopes and taking copies. I could do this all day, if only TX members would mail me those letters!!
