You are right about utilizing this time to increase skill portfolio. I have done it and many folks like us may doing it. But, it does not help in improving our situations because we are tied to our current jobs and employers which inhibits us from taking advantage of additional educations and skills.. However, people waiting for GC and are in last leg of GC journey should certainly consider it.

With you buddy, if they are getting benefit that easily or they getting in our way. i have no problem if illegals get GC if they pay back-taxes equal to the average amount paid by legals + fine for breaking law and stand in the line behind us.

What date we have to write? I am trying to fill up the pdf electronically. So it is allowing me to write only one date. So it should be the start date of previous EAD or end date? or range of date like 07/11/2008 - 07/12/2009
It is not range. It is the USCIS receipt date for previous EAD application. So you have to see previous I765 application receipt. For on-line all the information will come like this:

Strength of IV & the skilled immigrant community should translate to campaign dollars. If the skilled immigrant community is in powerful positions in big firms, they can influence company contributions. Same applies for companies (to be) founded by immigrants.
We need to put our money where our mouth is.

Thanks for your message. I just wanted to clarify that no IV member should contribute or volunteer for a lawmakers election efforts because it is illegal to do so. Only US citizens can do that. We can only influence indirectly.

1. Is there an urgent processing option for the AP? And how ?
2. Can she travel on the receipt of application, and I can send the AP document to her by FEDEX?

Just go to the USCIS office even if you do not get an infopass. Go with I-485 receipt, 2 passport size photos. If you go first thing in the morning, you might be able to get the AP issued to you the same day. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A LETTER FROM THE HOSPITAL/DOCTOR STATING HER CONDITION. It can be a faxed copy.

Well this is an unfortunate development nevertheless it brings closure to months and months of speculations and hope for us. For past one year IV has provided as with a forum to fight for a our just cause and brought together all of us like minded individuals. I sincerely thank IV for that and doing countless things beyond what they have signed for. This has been a hard fight full of down moments but all in all it was a worthy experience. I guess we are at a juncture where I get the feeling despite our hard efforts to distinguish ourselves based what we are and what we represent, there is a growing consensus to tie us with what we don't represent. To me giving us what we are asking for, ONLY when they will print 12 million+ Green Cards for people who have falsified identities, carried no driver's license and have fled to America to fight hunger and poverty is an insult to what we have fought hard to achieve in life (education, career etc) in past many years. I have seen numerous stories on IV forum about folks who struggled to renew driver's license at DMV's and that's just tip of the iceberg I can go on about the struggle each one of us has faced to keep legal status amidst recessions, job loss, insanity of DOL, USCIS and many other hurdles. I don't have much to say except that the next step to achieve our goals is a conflicting priority. At this point I feel that there is no need to educate people who choose to be ignorant. I will sign off now !!! I wish good luck to IV and Thank IV core for doing more than what they have signed for.

I have got an RFE for 485 application. USCIS is asking me for Employment Letter, Paystubs and W2 for the employer I NEVER worked. (I have typed exact message below)

1) What should I send to USCIS? As I don�t have (can�t get) Employment Letter, Paystubs and W2 for �Employer X�
2) Would you consider this as simple case or complicated?

Your post absolutely doesnt make sense. You are asking us here "485 RFE and USCIS asking paystubs for employer you never worked"
This does not seem to be a 485 RFE but a H1 RFE. Put some sense into the post before posting here and confusing people. How can yours be a 485 RFE when employer X never sponsored your GC and when USCIS is asking paystubs from Employer X for H1 transfer and when your GC is still running with Employer 2. Senseless post.

Please contribute - let's not make IV plead for contributions, t's ridiculous. This is a thankless job IV is doing - and as the main post says "Consider yourself part of something big. What we are doing is something big." The process is so horribly long and demeaning that people may even become terminally ill during the process! This is no time for lethargy - get off your big behinds and start acknowledging the mess we're in - the anti-immigrant forces want to squeeze every ounce of blood & sweat out of you before you get your due, if at all and you cant not just afford to keep quiet!
