I've attended hundreds of meetings of immigration lawyers in my career. Many of them have exhibited characteristics of 12-step groups in which we formed circles of victimhood, and "admitted that we were powerless over [INS, USCIS, DOL, State, etc.]and that our lives had become unmanageable." I applied for my EAD and AP extension on AUG 17 2009 and my EAD was expiring on AUG 29th 2009. While my wifes EAD and AP got approved, I had an RFE as I had not sent the recent photographs so I sent that and the receipt date for that was OCT 9 2009.
I continued working and got paid, after speaking to friends I realized, getting paid on a Expired EAD is not right.
I have taken a infopass to discuss this with USCIS to get an update.
One more point I wanted to make was that my payroll company doesn't know about this and doesn't care. But if I bring it up then .they might immediately terminate my employment.
How do I fix this? Please suggest.

Talk to an attorney he should be able to kiss your employer's ass with lot of things.
If your employer is paying more than what is mentioned in H1B, then you cannot do anything.
If you are working on % basis, then forget about 14k if till you work for him, prorate of H1B pay is paid.

Just spoke to an IO at TSC, She told me that the case is at a place what they call "Pending Review and final decision"
I asked her whats the next step after this?
IO : Hope fully will be assigne to some one
I Asked, isn't this the place where all the cases are "Pending Review and Final decision"?
IO: a big NO...no no..this is not the place where all the cases are, I can't provide anymore info then this, I was just being nice because you called at 3:30 pm.
Any body who has thier case in the pool of "Pending review and final decision".
Honestly, I think its just a general status that she told me about my 485 case.

USCIS does not give a damn they are a govt agency that sift through paper very slowly every day. What makes you think they have a conscience and they will suddenly feel bad for you?

This is the scenario:
1. Husband becomes a LPR this year.
2. Wife still undocumented.
3. Wife was working long time ago, but became a housewife for the past 6 years, so no work.
How would the wife adjust her status under the new CIR if she was not working for the past 6 years?
Would she have to wait until the husband is able to petition her through other regular means?
Any ideas or is it too early to tell how USCIS will issue it's regulations about CIR?

A friend of mine was recently stuck in administrative processing from November till March 13th (he was informed about the approval on March 18th) a total timeframe of 5 months. He reached the US on March 22nd and was admitted on H1 without any issues.
He sent me the following facebook link which list at least 200 such cases of similar souls.
"Here is a link to Facebook group on visa delay the kind I had. There is a spreadsheet which lists a sample of 200 cases since Nov.

Please be aware of it."

I believe someone already asked a similar question but I just want to describe my exact situation:
- My LC (EB3) got approved on July 2007, PD is March 2007 - Company A
- My I-140 and I-485 were filed concurrently on July 2007 - Company A
- I work as a contractor and my client (Company B) is offering me a full-time job and would like me to join on Sept 2007
- I still have 4 years on my H1B
With the assumption that my current employer (Company A) will give full cooperation on my current GC process, if I join company B on H1B transfer now, can I possibly invoke AC21 later after my I-140 gets approved and I-485 is pending for more than 180 days?
I'll greatly appreciate any comments.
